 Student Achievements

The Kendriya Vidyalayas have, very apropriately, been called pace - setting institutions considering many unique features that the KVS enjoy with respect to their cosmopoliton natutre. Pioneering in the field of academics, adoption of new educational policies, schemes, etc, fee sturcture, admission policy are some of the features of the KVs. Inspite of the fact that, bringing merit & laurels is generally an uphill task, particularly at the national level, the KVs are striving hard to achieve the goals set for themselves.

KV, ONGC, Baroda, has striven towards tapping & developing talent among its students & staff as a means to glorifying the name of the vidyalya and giving merit to the deserving.

Still in its adoloscence, our vidyalaya has shown achievements that are generally associated with established institutions. The credit, obviously, goes, not only to the vidyalaya but much more to the parents & above all, to the children themselves who must have put in endless efforts to come up to the All India Level standards.

A few achievements in the recent years are being displayed in the field of academics & co-curriculars, with the assurance to parents that many more and better ones are still to come in th future.

A large number of students who have completed class XII from this institution have secured admission in medical, engineering and other professional courses.

Three students have qualified for IIT mains examination for the year 2002 and one has been selected for IIT. Kumari Sudha has been selected for IIT for the academic year 2002-03.

Kumari Dimple Patel received a pize from the President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam for her performance in Shankar's International Children's Competition in the year 2002.

Master Arnav Thakur created record for class X at the CBSE examinations in 2004 by scoring 94.6% in aggregate.

Master Mayur Saxena secured 18th rank in the AIEEE examination conducted by CBSE in the year 2004.

Kumari Archana Rai created record for class XII at the CBSE examinations in 2005 by scoring 94.2% in aggregate. She secured top position in class XII in Ahmedabad Region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Five students have secured good ranks in the AIEEE examination conducted by CBSE in the year 2005. Master Santosh Kumar secured 9th position, Kumari Archana Rai secured 46th position, Kumari Yashaswini secured 83rd position, master ashwin Kumar secured 125th position and Master Ankit Srivastava secured 147th position.

The number of students representing the school at the regional level and at the KVS National has shown a phenominal rise over the years.

Apart from these achievements the students from this vidyalaya have been participating in various other competitions conducted by different organisations/agencies/ associations within and outside Baroda.

Mrs. Indu Vishwakarma, PRT was awarded KVS incentive award for the best teacher for the academic year 2000-01.

Master Vivek Kothari won a bronze medal at the KVS National Sports Meet 2005 and was selected to participate in SGFI Meet.

Kumari Torana won a bronze medal at the KVS National Sports Meet 2005.

Kumari B Sushmitha cleared NTSE second stage examination to get scholarship from NCERT.

Master Vaibhav Mohanty and Kumari Ritu Yadav secured 1st and 2nd positions in Baroda in CBSE Class X Examination-2006.

Master Onil Kumar and Kumari Ritu Yadav secured 100% for the first time in Ahmedabad Region in Social Science in CBSE class X examination in 2006. Both these students secured merit certificates from CBSE, as they are among the top 0.1% of the successful candidates.

Master Garvit Khatri was selected for AIPMT conducted by CBSE in the year 2006. His ranking in the All India merit list is 925.

Kumari Lupita Saikia was adjudged the best athlete at the Baroda District Athletic Meet 2005. She had secured 5 Gold and 7 medals in all.

Master Vaibhav Mohanty has been selected for the second stage NTSE examination to be conducted by NCERT in the year 2006.

Kumari. Sucharita Nag won Gold medal in State level Drawing & Painting on "Energy Conservation", conducted by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.



1. The Vidyalaya secured second position in class XII Science stream in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Ahmedabad Region as far as the Performance Index is concerned.

2. Four students Master Ankit Singh, Ku. Garima Jain. Ku. P V Sravanthi and Ku. Sambhuti Bhatnagar secured 100% in Maths in AISSE 2007.

3. The toppers Kumari. Sambhuti Bhatnagar and Ku. Samidha Bakre of class X secured 96%.

4. Master Nishit Srivastava secured third position in Vadodara city by securing 93.6%.



1. Ku. Swati Gupta of class IX was selected for NTSE scholarship. She will get the scholarship as long as she continues to study science.

2. Ku. Varsha Hathila won gold medal in Javelin throw at KVS Nationals for the second year in row. She was given a cash prize of Rs. 2500/- for setting the meet record.

3. Four students Ku. P V Sravanthi, Ku. Garima Jain, Ku. Sambhuti Bhatnagar and Master Ankit Singh secured merit certificates for securing 100% in Maths at AISSE 2007.

4. Master Arjeet Nag and Master Avinash Jha of class X have secured 1st and 2nd ranks respectively in Junior Maths Olympiad in Ahmedabad Region.
